This urban walk, known as the “Promenade”, allows visitors to discover Evian-les-Bains and Neuvecelle from the heights with a view to Lake Geneva. As a bonus, test a trip to the Belle Epoque aboard the funicular.

During this walk, you’ll cross the Clair Matin park and discover a vast panorama of Lake Geneva and its Swiss shoreline, with an orientation table on site.

You’ll discover the Maraîche chapel, located in the commune of Neuvecelle, overlooking Lake Geneva at an altitude of 470m. Its location has inspired many painters. It has been a listed monument since 1921. Built in the 12th century by peasant monks from the Abondance abbey, it is dedicated to St André, patron saint of fishermen.

You’ll pass by the Palais Lumière in Evian-les-Bains and walk a short stretch of the GR de Pays du Littoral du Léman, or if you prefer, climb aboard the funicular that takes you to the heights of Evian-les-Bains.
